FEN FOLK - the cd
Funny old place, this Fenland, Cambridgeshire....there's folk outside who don't even know we're here! Well, here we are.....and here we come.....
Then there's Cambridge.... a name known world-wide, creating myths and dreams. And this Cambridgeshire....What sort of shape and place is that? Do we know?
So, here we are... telling The World, in our songs and music, some of the stories which "make" the culture and heritage of Fenland and Cambridgeshire.
Ours is a region that is changing very, very rapidly indeed. Before they disappear under the amnesiac-tidal-wave of New Times, the histories, moods and legends of our East Anglian corner circa 2000A.D. need to be told in ways that can be passed on to future folk, wherever they come from.
Future folk can make of them what they will, but for us, these stories entertain and remind us we are part of something bigger than just ourselves.
So......Let The Community SING !!!!!
